The Gemex BrillianceScope is a tool that utilizes Spectrophotometry to measure the light performance of diamonds. It measures a diamond’s brilliance (white light), fire (color light), and Scintillation.
Using the BrillianceScope, an average quality commercially cut diamond (most round diamonds) will score in the low to medium range.
An ‘AGS triple zero’ ‘hearts and arrows’ diamond (typically referred to as ‘ideal cut’) will score within the high range. Few diamonds of this type may score in the very high range, within one of the parameters, but almost never all three.
The Solasfera is the only natural diamond ever cut, that scores triple ‘off the charts’ very high.
